I came on yesterday to try and make a small minigame involving command blocks, I did /give Aaron_HL command_block but it came up with a message, something about admins, but my question is, why the hell are command blocks banned? I mean I get the bit about how they could be used for trolling or griefing but if someone did that then they’d probably get banned right?

It isn’t that they are banned, it is that i believe that you cant trace who used it, also command blocks are restricted to OPPED players in creative mode.

You can’t restrict what commands they can use inside the cmd blocks, thats the problem… op @a anybody ? :)

Not only could someone troll or grief with it, but they could easily bring down the server in seconds without leaving a trace.
