Dico and Sidney's 5x5 Piston Door

So, today, I am going to start building Dico and Sidney’s 5x5 piston door on a friend’s plot. The only problem is that I built it on my plot once, it worked a few times, and then it stopped working. The same thing happened every time, similar to the problem Sidney had when he forgot to place the repeater at 15:40 (and I did put in the repeater). Also, in the comments, people said that it didn’t work. Does it still work?
