From what I’ve heard and seen here the punishment doesn’t, in my eyes, fit the crime. There might be something I’m missing though, and I’m sure there is a longer story to this, as neither party seemed to be happy about each other even before the discussion started. I hope though, that there is no personal feelings involved, and that this punishment is in based on these offences that Place_Name_Here has committed. I know Place_Name_Here isn’t innocent, but to me he didn’t look any worse than staff in those screenshots.

@Place_Name_Here you’ve got a really bad habit of causing trouble on the server, what you said was wrong and your attitude towards staff is terrible too. I’m not sure if we should give you another chance because I’m pretty sure a similar thing would happen if we did. Maybe you can convince us, I don’t know.

@Armadillo28 I’m not sure that saying “Be nice or fuck off” is the best way to moderate an incident like this. Maybe we can learn from this.

@gamepatrol502 Unless you have useful information about an incident, please refrain from posting on appeals, it isn’t your job to decide what punishments to give.

@yop_tropix To answer this: “Back when it was my duty to maintain the server and make sure rules were followed, you wouldn’t get banned for saying you hate someone. What happened?” If I recall correctly you got demoted from moderator for not doing a good job and then resorted to making cheap jabs on the forums. I’m pretty sure that’s what happened.

Without my post tho he would have not apologized and in his own words realized his mistakes. Now he is in a frame of mind to learn from this and not deny anything anybody says that he did

IMO Permaban is way too long: it’s the same length as griefing. You, staff, should make it like 1-2-3 month tempban.

Then again i’m way too nice sometimes

@yop_tropix I’d like to point out that because you no longer play on the server, you have no knowledge of how much this particular player has or hasn’t broken rules in the past, you also are no longer a member of staff and there have been several rule changes since you left. If you looked at the screenshot you would see his ban is for multiple offences, not this one issue. None of your posts here are relevant, so please stop side-tracking this thread.
