I don’t 100% understand SMT (Surface Mount Technology)

  1. Do I need a special solder tip?
  2. Any subsitute for Solder paste ._.

  1. Smaller is better not conical, take a flathead or “screwdriver” tip. (right one) somewhat small, will do both for SMD and through hole. img

  2. its called solder (very thin solder) :) you only need solder paste if you plan to shove it in an oven.
