Explanation: Okay so anyone that watches either Numberphile or Matt Parker will understand this anyway however I’m gonna explain it anyway. So Matt Parker (A mathematician) Tried to make a 3x3 magic square made of square numbers, in the video showing this square off (reference[1] at the bottom of thread) it is pointed out that it isn’t a magic square; it is a semi-magic square. The joke is that the square should follow these two rules

1. All cells should have unique numbers

2. All rows, columns and diagonals should add up to the same number

And Matt Parker’s square does none, and therefore its a failed attempt.
