Which phone do you have?

The newer Samsungs may not be exactly “groundbreaking” or “innovative” but based on the fact that 1. they put a pretty good camera in it, 2. they’re still cheaper than an iPhone X, and 3. they refused to jump onboard the stupid notch trend, are probably a better idea than the iPhone X.
Also they removed the fingerprint sensor on the X, forcing you to use their face unlock thing. Personally I still prefer fingerprint.
When I went to buy my new phone, my two alternatives were the iPhone X and the Galaxy S9 (not the plus, I don’t like big phones). With that said, I’ll go through your points:
- Yes, the camera is pretty good, that variable aperture is very cool, but iPhone’s camera is good as well, especially because it also has the telephoto, while the S9 doesn’t (you only have it on the S9+ and on the Note 8, but, again, I hate big phones);
- That is right, though, on that day there was an offer for Apple’s products, so the iPhone X was at 999€ (instead of 1189€) while the S9 was at 899€, not that much difference;
- Yes, and that’s one of the reasons because Galaxy S9’s design is pretty good, though the notch trend started after the iPhone X;
- Yes, but in my opinion Face ID is good enough to replace the fingerprint sensor, since it isn’t just a 2D scanning, and I personally don’t really like having the fingerprint scanner on the back.
