What did you expect? I throw carrots, wheat, potato to villagers, so that they pick it up and reproduce.

What actually happened? They dont pick the items up.

Do you see any sort of error message? Nein

If a villager has a full inventory, you can’t give them anything. Maybe that’s your problem.

PyjamaL1ama spawned a villager in my base, because of another bug about entities unable to go though nether portal, and it doesn’t pick up anything either, so I dont think it is my problem

Works as intended:

Note: If the gamerule mobGriefing is false, Villagers will not pick up items.

So is villagers farm disabled? What a pity.
