Basically, you create a WE selection, run the command, and any headless pistons or piston heads without bases will be deleted and replaced with brand new ones.
I think this would be a good idea because, in its existing form, WE breaks pistons quite a bit. It’s one of the oldest problems, and we still don’t have a good solution to it. If this was implemented, it would certainly help people quite a bit. This would also probably be a much simpler solution then re-coding parts of WorldEdit to fix how it handles extended pistons.
This seems like quite a cool feature to have. As long as this wouldn’t be too hard to do, it definately gets my +1!

Would also require a mod to WorldEdit which is outside of our custom modules, would more suit a WorldEdit feature request, not a Redstoner one.
@Nemes except that doesn’t work if the piston is only a head, which happens fairly often.
