What did you expect? The redstone torch to always turn off and get deleted

What actually happened? After a little while of spamming, it just suddenly stayed on for a few seconds

Do you see any sort of error message? Nope

How can we reproduce this problem? You can easily reproduce this problem by spamming a redstone torch on a redstone block

It goes away after a few seconds, its a lag thing. Not a bug

Here’s a little experiment:

Put a redstone torch on a block Attach a lever to the block Spam the lever

What will happen? The torch burns out after you switch it more than four times per second and it will not switch its state anymore.

Now if you spam a torch onto a redstone block and break ir and place it and break… once you hit over four times a second the torch burns out. It will then refuse to change its state. However as you break and place the torch another time after the burnout happened, it’s locked in the on state instead of the off state.

The torch burnout mechanism has been in the game for ages to reduce lag through redstone :)
