Overclocking CPU through software

Overclock your CPU through your BIOS dumbasses.

No seriously, I don’t want to disclose too much of the details (rebuild soon), but I’m buying into lga 1156, unlocked CPU, Acer h57h-ad.

The motherboard is OEM, pulled from an Acer Veriton, and it has the h57 chipset. If that can overclock, then great. What I’m afraid is that acer will have locked the BIOS to prevent overclocking, and then the Cryorig m9i I ordered would be sad.

So I’m a genius and I found setFSB. It is overclocking software that works within Windows to access the PLL chip on your mobo. Question is, has anyone here ever tried it?

(I wouldn’t be too disappointed if I can’t overclock, my CPU is already impressive at stock(for the price anyways), and I can save up for a more expensive h55/p55 mobo later)

@C2Lunatic too much work just delete system32 :>
@PyjamaL1ama that would be too much work unfortunately. But I’m really looking into serFSB for overclocking through PLL and Windows.
