They had enough qualifications and maturity to become a mod in training, so they should get the ability to promote people, like visitor to member, member to builder, and so on. It would be good.

MIT permissions are limited for a reason. The position exists so that new potential moderators can learn commands and how things around here work, as well as get comfortable and gain experience. We also want to prevent more serious mistakes, or even malicious actions. So unfortunately, I’m going to have to say no to that.
