Ability to send PMs

Much like on the server, being able to use /mail send, I think it would be nice to be able to send Private messages to people on the website, making it send an email to the email they registered with as well. I think it could use the same tagging mechanism as with @. I think this will be much more responsive too. I don’t know about staff being able to see the PMs that are being sent around though. I also find the “Become this user” option a little bit over the top.

I like the idea, I have heard that there is a staff forums section for staff? You could add a section that basically monitors all PMs that are sent, saying the person that is sending the message, what it says and who it is to, in that order to avoid confusion.

You could also have a bot testing for any offensive words or or phrases! :D

I like Barry’s idea about the thread to monitor those “PMs”. Though, I’d see it better as a new tab at the top.

Anyway, I don’t see the point in having this, there’s Gmail for that.
