@eangough apparently made it. I banned him for 2 weeks for it and removed the structure from the plot. I didn’t remove his trusted rank though (he’s honestly lucky I didn’t since hes setting a bad image for the server).

Well he built it on snaperz plot and covered it in web aka sperm so I would think that is griefing so that deserves a ban?

Sheep, last time We had talked about a similar issue I also brought it up with @gundershot which he agreed with me that it sets a bad image for the server and he decided to take appropriate measures. Also, look at what @MCtechnical said. It’s rule 10.

Exactly what @Nightshade32 and @MCtechnical said. We cann’t just allow people to build these, especially our Trusted players. It sets a bad example and may potentially offend some players.

I recomend a demote to builder.

1 there will be no demotion, as building a cock doesnt make us not trust him anymore, second its only offensive and sets a bad image if you are afraid of penises, otherwise its just a bit of a chuckle and a sigh and thats about it, or maybe if you are ashamed of your sexuality.

the world we live in right now has certain social rules like for instance showing sexual objects is not acceptable and bad, this is just one of the many ones there is but this is relevant and is just a fact. if a server like this has these objects on display for everyone to see then it would be unethical and socialy unacceptable.

Some of the many consequences that could come out of this situation could be we lose 1 or more players because someone’s parental guardian has seen it and banned them from going on redstoner/minecraft/computer and i thought we we all about “Community.” (quoted from the Home page on redstoner.com). Another example is that if someone was of a very young age and saw stuff that they shouldn’t have seen that young (which is just another social rule).

Also why don’t you see popular servers advertising with sexual objects? its just another thing that people don’t want to see.

Everyone has raised points worthy of debate, but I personally think that while most people wouldn’t be offended by someone building a giant penis, if we didn’t lay out a punishment for this, we would look immature and very unprofessional—not to mention, there is a rule against building structures of this sort as mentioned by McTechnical. I think that a week temp ban with no demotion will be sufficient.

if I owned the plot beyond this I don’t think I would enjoy having a giant penis ejaculating in my back-yard (not after my “finger” experience).

in all seriousness though, yes this isn’t really offensive, but the rules do state not to do it so in this case id agree that some minor punishment would be best.

maybe we should allow this sort of thing below ground level so people can have a laugh but equally the server doesn’t look like a Viagra advert for the casual passer by….either way we need to amend the rules if this sort of thing IS now allowed.

This server is meant for building redstone, not genitalia (looked that word up on dictionary.com :D)
It was a form of griefing too, which seems to be forgotten
The image is a big deal.You can say, oh it doesn’t hurt anyone, but what if every plot had 5 of these? Eh? Not to proffesional. As for Ean, I don’t think anything too harsh, but not mild either. I think Ip was right, a week tempban sounds good.

I dont play on redstoner much anymore, but I want to point some things out. First of all, we arent just talking about a tiny 4 block structure, this is a full on, detailed penis that is ejaculating. Sure its just a game, its not real, but seriously, I have seen 5 year olds with more maturity than you guys. Second off, it does say in the rules, not directly, but indirectly. That is a clear statement that it should not be allowed and the person who built it should be banned. Thirdly, why the fuck would you ask if somebody is offended by a penis. Seriously, thats just stupid, and childish, as if you are mocking the other members. This argument isnt even about the same fucking thing that it started as. We all need to grow up, get over it, and give proper punishment. Seriously, you can act more mature if you run a fucking server. If your gonna have rules, enforce them. Don’t make stupid exceptions.
